New Zealand Nationals' Results 2019

These were played in Hamilton, NZ on 25th – 28th November.

What an amazing week we have just had at the Frankton Junction Bowling Club in Hamilton.  The weather gods were on our side – for those of you not local, it rained on Friday !! As Mike Quayle (President of Frankton Junction Bowling Club) said at our prize giving/dinner – “You were a pleasure to have, an inspiration to all bowlers and we would happily host you again sometime in the future.”

A big thank you to all of our directors who give up so much of their time to help us play our game.  As often said, they can play without us but we cannot play without them.

Israel International Challenge 2019. Played at Ramat Gan Bowls Club

Competitors and directors from 6 countries assembled in Israel for this International Challenge.  With the exception of Israel, none of the countries had full teams, so a full-on 'test' series wasn't possible. However there were prizes on offer for each category as well as the National competition.
Competition started with a one-day, 'invitational triples' with four section-winning teams getting medals.
It was then on to the Singles and pairs competition in sight categories - some single-gender, some mixed - depending on numbers.
Great competition was enjoyed by all and many thanks must go to Sarah Shapiro and her team for all the work that went into the event - to say nothing of the wonderful support provided by the Ramat Gan Club and from the Israeli Lawn Bowls association. THANKS ONE AND ALL!

Apologies for the only photos I have being those featuring England players. Why not send me some more of your photos for inclusion?
